Ongoing Green Building Speaker Series at Newburgh Library

Improving the Energy-Efficiency and Quality of your Home or Small Business

The Newburgh Free Library continues its Green Tuesday Lecture Series with a program, "Improving the Energy-Efficiency and Quality of your Home or Small Business", scheduled for Tuesday, April 10 at 7 pm in the Library Auditorium at 124 Grand Street Newburgh NY 12550. The guest speaker will be Pasquale Strocchia, the owner of Integral Building & Design who is certified by the Building Performance Institute (BPI) as a Building Analyst. This program is free and open to the public.

This presentation will provide an overview of home energy-efficiency and its relationship to indoor air quality, an introduction to the New York State Home Performance with Energy Star program, and an overview of a Comprehensive Home Assessment, also known as an energy audit. Financial incentives available for these programs will also be discussed. Series coordinator Simon Gruber, a consultant to the Hudson Valley Regional Council's Green Buildings education and training program, will introduce the program.

Pasquale Strocchia is a professional Home Energy Rater and owner of Integral Building & Design, based in the Mid-Hudson Valley. He is certified by the Building Performance Institute (BPI) as a Building Analyst, and by the Residential Energy Services Network certified as a Home Energy Rater, and has many years of experience with building science, construction, and environmental education. This program is sponsored by the Newburgh Free Library and the Hudson Valley Regional Council and co-sponsored by Hudson River Sloop Clearwater and Sustainable Hudson Valley.
